Who Won the Oscar in 2021? 

The 93rd Academy Awards preserved the long-living tradition of praising true talents. Another colorful event took place in the heart of Hollywood despite the ongoing pandemic. All the winners and nominees were called to attend the event in person. The red carpet was set for the stars to walk in showcasing their finest wears. This time the 93rd Academy Awards show recognized new emerging talents by honoring them with the most prestigious Oscar awards. For the first time in history, a Chinese woman Chloé Zhao won the best director’s award. She has become the second woman in 93 years history of Academy Awards to win the award in this category. Chloé Zhao also won the most awards total of 3 in the event.

The Korean actress Youn Yuh-Jung won the best-supporting actress award for Minari. She also made history by becoming the first-ever Korean actress to win an Oscar. Moreover, Daniel Kaluuya won his first Oscar in the best supporting-actor category. The actor also paid a great tribute to his parents that left everyone wonderstruck.

Furthermore, Anthony Hopkins was awarded the best-actor award for his work in The Father; However, this award was expected to be given to late Chadwick Boseman for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
