Omer Shahzad is one of the top Pakistani model and actor. He started his career as a model and soon made a name for himself in the acting industry as well.  Early Life

Omer Shahzad was born on 14^th December 1987 in Karachi to a Muslim family. He spent all his life in Karachi.

Education

Omer Shahzad did his MBA from Karachi and later enrolled himself in Anjumand Murad’s agency to learn acting.

Family

There is no information available about Omer Shahzad’s family. He has a simple decent family. Sometimes he posts pictures with his family members on his Instagram.

However, we do know that he has a sister as he posted a picture of himself and his sister from her wedding.

Modeling Career

Omer started his modeling career in 2011 when Vaneeza Ahmad selected him for Bridal Couture Week. He was one of the few selected among 200 participants.

He stated in an interview, “There were 200 boys and girls at the audition and I was one of the eight male models selected. Then I made an appearance in Noor’s morning show on Hum TV.”

His main success as a model began when he worked with a fashion coordinator for a shoot. Omer stated in an interview that, it is only after you get published in a fashion publication as a model that they finally recognize you as an entity.

Omer has worked with really big names in the fashion industry like Deepak Perwani, Sania Mushkatiya, HSY, Zainab Chottani, Fahad Hussyan, and Zaheer Abbas. Working with such big designers helped him gain success and huge recognition as the top model in Pakistan.

He has been nominated for several awards with three consecutive Best Model Male nominations at Hum Awards and four consecutive nominations at Lux Style awards. He has a successful modeling career in Pakistan.

Acting Career

In an interview, Omer Shahzad said that he always wanted to be an actor after watching Faysal Qureshi and Noman Ijaz in Pakistani plays but you have to start somewhere and modeling happened before acting.

In 2013, Omer made his acting debut with the drama serial Adhuri Aurat, where he played a negative role. He also appeared in Choti Choti Khushiyaan, Chor Darwazay, and Noor Jahan.

In 2016, he did his debut film, Teri Meri Love Story, opposite Ushan Shah, Mohsin Abbas Haider, and Mohib Mirza. With the release of this film, he proved his strong screen presence and grace which he brings to the screen.

In 2017, he appeared as one of the leads in the super hit drama, Alif Allah aur Insaan. He played the role of Shaheer.

He also appeared in one of the most hit comedy movies in Pakistan, Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, where he played the role of the main antagonist.

 Singing Career

Omer once said that if he was not a model he would have been a singer. He announced in 2018 that he would soon launch his singing career properly. Then in 2022, in the television music show, Kashmir Beats, he sang Yar Nu Meray with Ayesha Omer.

The same year he released his first solo song, Akhiyaan for Crystal Records.

Participation in the Show Tamasha

In 2023, Omer was one of the participants of the reality show, Tamasha. He was one of the most loved participants by the viewers and the participants. He became really good friends with the participant Zaainab Raza. People believe that they both are together however none of the parties have confirmed anything now. Though Omer did call her his best friend in an interview after the show.
