Gohar Rasheed is a super-talented Pakistani actor and RJ. He can put life to any character he plays whether it’s a negative role or a humble husband like in Ishqiya, Gohar is great at any role he plays. Starting off as a theater actor, Gohar Rasheed has achieved a lot due to his brilliant work.

Early Life/Education

Gohar Rasheed was born on 2^nd May 1984 in Lahore, Pakistan. He did his intermediate from Government College University, Lahore, and his bachelor’s in Theater, Film, and TV from Beaconhouse National University, Lahore. After that, Gohar moved to Karachi to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. He is one of the very few Pakistani actors who have a professional degree for their profession.

Family

Gohar Rasheed is a very private person and likes to keep his personal life private. Therefore, there is no information available about his parents or siblings on the Internet. However, his maternal grandfather Ghulam Ahmed Perwez was a popular Islamic scholar.

Gohar’s family is into the stock exchange business and wanted him to join their family business but Gohar took a different route.

Marital Status

Gohar is not married at the moment and has never shared any plans about his marriage in the near future. However, rumors say that he is dating the popular British- Pakistani actress, Kubra Khan. Though they have never accepted any such thing and always declare each other as best friends.

Early Career

 Gohar started his career in theatre. His debut theatre play was a popular play, Bombay Dreams, directed and produced by Shah Sharabeel in 2008. Gohar played the role of an Indian actor named Vikram and was praised by everyone. In 2013, he acted in the political play by Anwar Maqsood and Dawar Mehmood, The Sawa 14 August, as a General Zia-ul-Haq. He also played Iftekhar in the comical play Half Plate by Anwar and Dawar in 2014.

In 2010, Gohar did a small supporting role in Daddy with Samiya Mumtaz. However, his critically acclaimed drama was in 2014, Sikhwa. He is also known for his role in the drama serial, Digest Writer.

He did his film debut in 2013 with the movie, Seedlings, starring Mohib Mirza and Amina Sheikh. The movie got great fame. It was also released at the New York film festival and got several awards and nominees internationally.

Acting Career

Gohar is a well-established actor in Pakistan now and has proved his talent will some brilliant acting projects. Apart from acting, Gohar is an active RJ at Radio1 FM91 in Karachi Station and has been doing a program called Pakistanwalah.

Mai Hoon Shahid Afridi is one of his very popular movies. He also played a role of a gangster in O21, though the role was a very short part of the film but Gohar claims that it’s one of his favorite roles he has ever performed.

Gohar is also popular for his drama serial Man Mayal starring Maya Ali and Hamza Ali Abbasi. Nowadays, he is doing a great job in the drama serial Jindo in which he is playing the negative role named Hasrat. His acting and his overall look are marvelous. We can also see him in another amazing on-air project, Jannat se Agayae opposite Kubra Khan.
