Early Life

Sabeena Farooq was born on 11^th February 1993 in Rawalpindi to a Muslim family. Being the youngest child in the house, she is super spoiled in her family. She lives in Rawalpindi with her family but due to her acting career, she keeps traveling between Rawalpindi to Karachi.

Family

Sabeena’s father is a Punjabi and her mother is a Pathan. Their names are not known to the public. She has two siblings, one brother and one sister. She is the youngest child in the house.

Her Favorites

Her favorite color is red and we have often seen her wear this color and look beautiful. Her favorite actors are Feroze Khan and Nauman Ejaz. The favorite actress of Sabeena are Shagufta Ejaz and Saba Qamar. Sabeena’s favorite singers are Noor Jahan, Aima Baig, and Shakira. She loves to travel.

First Project

Sabeena got her first acting project very randomly. Her university in Islamabad was located right next to the PTV office. PTV team visited her university to watch a theatre plan where they took auditions for a drama serial Dhanak. Sabeena gave her audition after being convinced by her seniors that she could act.  She got selected and this is how her first acting project landed into her lap.

 Acting Career

Sabeena did her first drama serial in 2017, Dhanak, which was aired on PTV. She also plays a small role in the film, Janan. Later she got two more projects before Suno Chanda where she got recognized for the first time. People loved her comic role of Maina and knew her by the name of her role. She played the role of a Pukhton girl as she is half Pathan, which helped her. Mostly people thought she belonged to a Pukhton family for a long time as her acting was so good.

Then she appeared in the drama serial Kashf where she played the negative role of a girl who liked her sister’s fiancé. The drama cast included Hira Mani and Junaid Khan. She was appreciated for her acting in the drama serial.

Sabeena Farooq again got recognized for her role in the drama serial Muhlat where she played the role of a cancer patient. In an interview, Sabeena said that she likes to play characters who have meaning to their role, and her favorite till now has been the role of Rida in Muhlat.

Sabeena Farooq got huge fame with her role as Haya in the drama serial Tere Bin. She became the talk of the town with this role and got a critical appreciation for playing a negative role so finely that people actually hated the character but loved the artist. She got the most deserving recognition for this role. It became one of the most memed characters on social media ever.

Currently, her on-air drama serial, Kabuli Pulao, where she is playing the lead role is being loved by the audiences. She is doing a phenomenal job with her character of an Afghani girl. She’s not just looking beautiful but performing her role brilliantly. This drama serial is the most watched and loved drama these days.
